Show a Single Interface Configuration on Cisco Router or Switch

This is very useful option to troubleshoot Interface configuration related issues on Cisco Router or Switch. Without this option displaying configuration of a single interface can be a very time-consuming task if your Router has extremely long configuration like 7200 series high-end Router with large number of interfaces, route-maps, access-lists etc. To display or show  single interface configuration, use the interface keyword with show running-config command in Router privilege mode.

Open/Show a Single Interface Configuration

For example, the show running-config interface serial 0/0/0 command displays only configuration of the specified interface without displaying the whole running configuration

Router#show  run int s0/0/0
Building configuration…
Current configuration : 149 bytes
!
interface Serial0/0/0
description ***Connected To ISP***
ip address 202.120.150.42 255.255.255.252
ip access-group 101 out
ip nat outside
end
